The following items are not permitted:

  • alcohol
  • illegal drugs
  • hazardous substances (for example chemicals, irritants and gas canisters)
  • fireworks, flares or smoke devices
  • laser pens

Exceptions are made for baby food and milk, medication, and food or drink needed for medical or dietary reasons.

We may refuse entry to anyone carrying large bags, suitcases or luggage.

Prohibited items will be held by staff and can be collected after the performance. Items that are illegal or dangerous may be retained and passed to the police.

Getting Here

The Cresset is situated in the township of Bretton which is about a five to 10 minute taxi ride from both the railway station and bus station.

The Cresset is easily accessible by car from the A47, Junction 16.

Parking

Free parking for Cresset customers is available adjacent to the building. The entrance to our car park can be found by taking the signposted exit from the roundabout and then taking the left turn after the petrol station. Please note there is a height-restriction barrier on the carpark entrance and exit.  If our car park is full, free parking is available at Bretton Centre (Sainsbury’s) car park. Please note parking at Bretton Centre is available for a maximum of 4 hours and The Cresset has no jurisdiction over the management of this. For bus events staff will be on hand to assist in our car park.

A permit is required Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm, this is available free of charge from Reception on arrival.

Please note: if you park at Sainsbury’s / Bretton Centre, you will be liable for an automatic fine if you park for longer than four hours. This carpark is not managed by us and we are unable to get involved in parking disputes.

Arriving Late

If you arrive late for the start of a performance or after an interval we appreciate that you will want to take your seat as soon as possible.  We will do everything possible to assist.  To limit disturbance to fellow audience members and artists we may have to ask you to wait until a suitable break in the performance. Occasionally this may not be possible once the performance has started.

Food & Drink

During shows there is a vending/bar area within the theatre foyer selling soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, sweets, crisps and ice creams.

However it should be pointed out that on some occasions alcoholic drinks are not allowed into the auditorium.

At no time is glass or hot food allowed into the auditorium.

Pre-show Suppers

Why not make a night of it and start your evening with a pre-show supper in The Fayre Spot? This friendly local bar and restaurant is part of The Cresset complex.

Relax in comfort and enjoy a freshly prepared meal from our extensive menu. You’re guaranteed a warm welcome!

Before a show the restaurant can get very busy, so to guarantee a table we strongly recommend booking in advance. Call our restaurant direct on 01733 842518 or email [email protected] to book your table.
