Pantomime Open Auditions
The Cresset pantomime is an event that we look forward to all year round and the planning starts well before the previous year’s show has even started.
We love the fact that this production provides a such great opportunity for local youngsters to perform under the direction of a professional team alongside professional artists.
Auditions for our 2023 pantomime, the Wizard of Oz, will be held on Sunday, 3rd September 2023!

Audition information:
- Audition ages correct as at 31st August 2023
- Please arrive up to 30 minutes in advance of the audition time
- Under 16s must attend the auditions with parents / chaperones.
- Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for the audition.
- Wizard of Oz runs from 14 to 31 December 2023.
- Rehearsals will take place on Sundays from late October until the opening of the show.
- Exact dates and times will be advised to successful applicants.
- Wizard of Oz will be staging Schools Performances and all dancers will need to have a relevant licence from their local authority to enable them to be absent from school for those performances. The production company will arrange this.
- You will also need to be able to commit to the full run and rehearsal period.
- Ensemble members will be unpaid and will be expected to provide their own leotard, shoes and tights.
- Notification of exact requirements will be given at the start of rehearsals.
