SOCIALLY DISTANCED PERFORMANCES
You can officially ‘See It Safely’ at The Cresset – this mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences.
We are currently on sale with several socially distanced live events.

Due to the national lockdown we have had to reschedule several of our socially distanced performances, including those in November. Please see the ‘Rescheduled Show Dates’ tab for the new show dates.
Our current Opening Times are as follows:

Deliveries / Amazon locker collections: Please ring the bell at the main entrance for attention. This will be available during the following times:

The Fayre Spot Bar & Restaurant will remain closed until further notice.

Face coverings are now mandatory BY LAW in all public areas of The Cresset. This includes the shops and services within. The penalty for failure to wear a face mask in spaces where they are required is £100.
We ask that all visitors please wear a face covering when visiting The Cresset and moving through the public areas and reserve the right to refuse service or ask you to leave if you refuse.

All of our shops and services remain closed to the public at this time under the Tier 4 restrictions.

Panto Update: 17 December
Following the government’s announcement today regarding the new Tier 3 restrictions, we are so sorry to have to announce that our remaining pantomime performances will be unable to go ahead after the new level of restrictions comes into effect on Saturday morning.
We’re obviously devastated at this news as our cast, crew and team of staff have all worked incredibly hard to make sure as many people as possible were able to experience the magic of pantomime this Christmas. We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported our pantomime this year through all the COVID-related challenges we’ve faced – thank you so much! We really hope that the audiences that were able to attend a live performance enjoyed the show!
If you’ve got tickets for any of the remaining pantomime performances, you will automatically be receiving a full refund – if you paid by card your refund will automatically go onto the same card used for payment; if you paid by cash, please sit tight and we will get in touch to sort out your refund! Please bear with us during this time, we really appreciate your patience!
All is not lost though! We’re excited to announce that you will still be able to experience the magic of pantomime from the comfort of your own home!
We’re offering a digital stream of Jack and the Beanstalk (recorded live on our opening night) – for the price of just a single ticket, you and your family can sit back and enjoy the show anywhere from now until 30 Dec.

Panto Update: 30 November
The show must go on! We’re proud to present an adventure full of festive family fun this Christmas with our production of Jack & The Beanstalk – yes, panto is a go here at The Cresset!
Join Jack as he reaches new heights on a giant adventure up the beanstalk – it’s sure to be full of fee, fie, fo, fun!
With the new Tier 2 restrictions in place we are only able to seat one household / support bubble per table. Unfortunately if you live in a tier 3 area you are currently unable to attend the show. If you have queries about the restrictions before booking please get in touch. If you have tickets already and will be affected by this change then our team will contact you to discuss your options.
If we are unable to contact you and your booking was made using a Tier 3 postcode we will unfortunately have to cancel your booking and you will receive written confirmation of this along with a full refund. Please do not travel to the venue from Tier 3 as we will sadly have to refuse entry.
The safety of our audiences is of course the biggest priority and so we’ve been hard at work designing a production that is Covid-secure for cast, crew and audiences. The auditorium (which will be disinfected between every performance) will be operating at a reduced capacity, the audience will be seated in their groups at socially distanced tables (with a maximum of 6 people per table) and the production will be smaller, shorter and more intimate than previous Cresset pantos – but there’s no doubt that it will have the same pantomime magic!
Other measurements in place include a reduced show runtime with no interval to prevent crowding; temperature checks on arrival; pre ordering options; one-way systems in operation to allow for social distancing, plus the cast and crew will be adhering to government guidelines during all rehearsals and performances.

Where possible we are working with promoters to reschedule events and transfer tickets for shows which were affected during the shutdown. If you have tickets for any of the following events you will receive an email from the box office to notify you of this and confirm ticketing arrangements. We ask for your patience while our team work hard to reschedule the dates and contact all customers individually.

If an event has been rescheduled and you are unable to attend the new date, or if we have not been able to reschedule the event then you are entitled to a refund. We would like to give you the option to continue to support The Cresset by accepting this refund in the form of a gift voucher which can be used for future events – this will help to support our venue and staff through what is a very difficult time. Alternatively you can contact the Box Office and refunds will be made in accordance with method of payment.

Refunds for shows originally in March, April and May must be requested no later than June 30th.
Refunds for shows originally in June and July must be requested no later than August 31st.

We are currently in talks with many customers who have planned events here at The Cresset including conferences, weddings and social occasions.
If you have an event scheduled with us in the coming weeks then the events team will be in touch in due course to discuss the options available.
If you wish to postpone your event to a new date please contact your event organiser direct or call 01733 842515 / 01733 842513 to discuss with one of our team. We will be happy to postpone events without charge in order to support our customers and ensure you are able to enjoy a successful event on a later date.
We understand this can be a worrying time, and encourage you to contact one of our team if you have any concerns. We will also be updating this information as and when things change.
We are pleased to be able to host meetings again in our function rooms. At present however we are only able to host bookings for a maximum of 30 people, on the basis of a client risk assessment and a an event plan which complies with social distancing and other Covid secure guidelines.

We are also now carrying out appointments for customers wishing to book conference and banqueting events. Information for client appointments
If you are unable to attend the appointment as planned please do let us know as soon as possible, as current restrictions mean staff are working from home and may be coming into the building specifically for your visit.
Please read our current guidelines for visiting The Cresset and in particular note the following:
• Please do not visit if you or anyone in your household is feeling unwell or showing symptoms of Covid-19
• Please sanitise your hands on arrival and wait in the main foyer where we will meet you
• Please maintain social distancing at all times during your appointment
• Maximum 2 people may visit at a time
• Face coverings are required. Please note we do not provide them and you will need to bring your own.
Unfortunately we are not able to shake hands or offer refreshments during your appointment, however we wish we could!
While Peterborough remains under Tier 2 restrictions The Fayre Spot Bar & Restaurant will remain closed until further notice.
As a wet-led community pub which relies on drinks sales it is simply unviable for the pub to continue trading under the current restrictions. We also recognise that many of our customers visit alone or with friends and so the household rules would undoubtedly have an impact on trade, particularly alongside the “substantial meal” rule. We will monitor the situation and look forward to reopening when we are able.
