We are proud to hold a licence to host civil marriage and partnership ceremonies in our elegant function suites at The Cresset.

We can cater for all styles of wedding, and can provide the perfect setting for your ceremony, whether you are inviting just close friends, or over 100 guests. Gallery Two or the Milton Suite are ideal for intimate ceremonies of up to 60 guests, followed by a reception in the popular Gallery or Fitzwilliam Suites. For larger celebrations, we can accommodate 150 guests by combining the Gallery Suite and Fitzwilliam Suite, one for the ceremony and one for the reception.

After the ceremony you and your guests will appreciate the convenience of a reception at The Cresset, with no need to travel to another location. Those all important photos can be taken in our secluded wedding garden, while your guests enjoy a drinks reception in the suite. We can cater for all tastes and budgets, with a range of menu options from formal wedding breakfasts, to light buffets. All couples will have a wedding co-ordinator who will work with you in advance, and will be on hand on the day to make sure everything runs smoothly and to your satisfaction.

Arrangements for the ceremony itself must be made with the Superintendent Registrar at Peterborough Registry Office on 01733 566323.
