Day Centre

The Cresset Day Centre operates as part of a wider strategy to provide a meeting place and social activities for elderly and vulnerable adults. Run by Peterborough City Council’s Social Services, the centre is open seven days a week, and has space for 24 elderly people. Visitors to the centre typically live alone and, for many, the centre provides their only form of human contact from week to week. The transport collection service provided by the centre is an essential part of the service.

The centre schedules a range of activities each week to encourage social interaction and mental stimulation.
